Trip to Las Vegas

Whoa... When was the last time I blogged? How are you guys?

Went for the trip that everyone envies... Las Vegas for Interbike 2006... This was kinda my first trip to America in my whole entire life... When I told anyone about it, they were like "Wah... So good ah, can enjoy leh"

Hmm... Depends on how you see it lah... If you think you can consider sitting on the plane for almost 24hrs then good for you lor...

Singapore to Taiwan = approx. 4hrs (Transit)
Taiwan to LA = approx 18hrs
LA to Las Vegas = approx 1hr.

Including the waiting time in between transits... It is like sitting there, doing nothing, trying to sleep but cannot sleep for almost 1 full day. Brought 'Anthony Robbins' along but was too restless to read his stories. Luckily got Taiwan stewardess to see.... (Ooppsss)

When I stepped onto the airport of Las Vegas, I immediately realized why Las Vegas is a place for gamblers.

Even the airport is a place for people to gamble. Right behind the place where I was waiting for my luggage, there are already like hundreds of slot machines. And every where I went, there will be a group of slot machines.

Throughout the bus journey from the airport to the hotel, I was looking around and I realized something. This whole place looks familiar! Not as if I am been here in my dreams. But I have been here before! I remembered I was at this very airport, racing past the cars in Grand Theft Auto San Andreas. The scenario in the game is exactly like the real Las Vegas!

The lobby of the hotels is immediately a casino. It is totally different from what you see in Genting, where you have to walk a distance and go thru security check. This place is a heaven for all gamblers.

1st day... When we got there, it was almost evening... We walked around and settled for dinner. The dinner cost more than USD10, which is almost S$16 per pax! Expensive sio... And we are not eating in a resturant. We are only having fastfood! After that, we went back to the hotel lobby, fed a bit of money into the slots machine... walk around a bit then went back to our hotel room and started ironing our clothes for the next few days. Slept quite well. Maybe cos I am tired of flying around.

2nd day... Went for breakfast in the hotel. Not free mind you... Cost about USD 9.90 eash pax. Then walked all the way to the expo and started working... The expo was huge. Din get much sleep that night. Probably is because of the jet lag. When you guys are sleeping, I am working. When you guys are awake and probably working, I am trying to sleep... Brr.....

3rd Day... Same thing... My legs are very tired due to the walking... Darling was saying that it should be a good training for me so I can accompany her to do shopping the whole day!!! Zzzzz.... After dinner, we went to deposit more money into the slots machine. That night I slept like a log... Too tired...

Last day was quite a rush... Packed everything, checked out of the hotel in the morning and went for breakfast. Went to Interbike walk around, took a bit of pictures. Walk round some more... Take a bit of freebies here and there... Rush back to the hotel, collect our luggage and embarked on our journey back to Singapore... Tried sleeping on the plane but couldn't. I only managed to catch a bit of sleep on the flight from Taiwan to Singapore. Was real restless.

Finally I am home! My dear came to visit me at my house. Am so happy to see her...

Got a lot of things to do once we are back in Singapore as we are bringing in a new product to be introduced to Singapore market. Hope this new product will make us "tua tua tan tan" ah... Haha

Dad fell sick soon after returning to Singapore... Think due to the jet lag ba...
